Athletic Journey
Youth Athletic DEvelopment
This term refers to training methods that will improve various aspects of youth fitness and athletic performance, such as speed or coordination, throughout the maturation of a child. The training methods will focus on improving these aspects of athletic performance at different ages, adapting the training programmes to a child's physical maturity.
Approaching youth athletic development with this strategy allows all aspects of athletic performance to be developed, through a child's maturation, while increasing the focus on key aspects when necessary, to assist and magnify the natural improvements that would occur at these stages.
